mimoCam allows the use of an iPad or iPhone connected to a Mac through a Lightning cable to function as an external camera for the live switching application mimoLive on the Mac. Unlike many other camera applications, mimoCam simplifies the user interface by removing on-screen controls, providing a cleaner visual experience.
A simple double-tap on the video feed enables users to easily switch between the front and back cameras.
Furthermore, mimoCam wirelessly sends device orientation data to mimoLive on the Mac, facilitating the production of video screencasts that depict the device's positioning in 3D space.
Please be advised that prolonged use of GPS services running in the background may significantly impact the device's battery life.
